Studio Policies and Guidelines
At Olive & Co., we strive to ensure a smooth and enjoyable tattoo experience for all our clients. To maintain professionalism and clarity, we kindly ask you to review the following policies before your appointment:
1. Age Policy
• We do not tattoo individuals under the age of 18, only with parental or guardian present.
2. Communication
3. Deposit Policy
• Deposits are required to secure your booking and must be paid within 24 hours of receiving payment details.
• Deposits are non-refundable. Under all circumstances.
• Deposits will be deducted from the total cost of your tattoo.
4. Rescheduling & Postponements
• Appointments can be rescheduled once, with a minimum of 3 business days’ notice.
• Failure to reschedule within this timeframe will forfeit your deposit
5. Operating Hours
• Our studio is open Tuesday to Saturday. We are closed on Mondays. Sundays are appointment only
• Full day sessions run from 10h00t o 17h00, with 2 hours allocated for design and stencil preparation and 5 hours for tattooing.
6. Touch-Ups
• Touch-ups are evaluated by the artist and are not always necessary
• Touch-ups due to client neglect during the healing process will be charged at normal rates.
• Fine-line tattoos & hand/finger tattoos will incur a setup fee for touch-ups.
7. Design Policy
• Design work is complimentary. However, any significant changes to the initial concept will incur a redesign fee.
• Your booking includes both design and stencil preparation time.
• All original artwork remains the intellectual property of the artist and may not be reproduced without permission.
8. Social Media Etiquette
• If you share your tattoo on social media, we kindly request that you tag both the artist and Olive & Co. Studio.
9. Appointment Guidelines
• Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may result in reduced tattooing time or rescheduling.
• Overtime charges apply after 5:00 PM, based on the artist’s hourly rate.
10. Quotes and Time Estimates
• All quotes are estimates and may vary based on factors such as design complexity, changes, or client readiness on the day. While we strive to provide accurate estimates, additional time may be required.

11. Vouchers
- Vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. (9 months with Lily)
- A deposit will still be required to secure a booking for a session that is being paid for using a voucher
- Vouchers can be used as the deposit, for its entire value, and is forfeited in full in the event of a no show or short cancellation.
-Vouchers are non refundable and can not be transferred to another party
-Only one voucher can be used per session
- The voucher must be brought with to the session, only official emails from O & Co, or printed copies collected in store are accepted.

Yes. Let's be real, it does hurt, but you can handle it. Congrats, your stressing is actually going to help, it can't be as bad as you expect. We also have a lovely team of artists who know how to make your experience as pleasurable and pain free as possible. Still not convinced? We sell really good numbing cream!
The price of your tattoo depends on many variables; such as, size, detail, placement, style, who your artist is, and the amount of detail, amongst many others. We are a custom design studio, come see us for a free consultation to get quoted or just to discuss your idea! We charge hourly, between R1000 - R1400 per hour depending on the artist. Please contact us to get a quote. Please keep in mind that your artist is a professional and you will only have a clear indication of how long will be needed after consulting with them.
You will be instructed on healing by your artist at your appointment. Your tattoo takes 3-4 days to seal and close, while it is covered with our second skin or cling wrap. Once this comes off your tattoo will be dry and flaky for roughly 2 weeks. Your tattoo should be fully healed and settled after 3-4 weeks.
Our team of expert artists will provide you with all of the necessary information on the day of your booking. We have two healing options, second skin, which is a clear adhesive film that is applied and left on for 4 days, this is the least cumbersome and easiest for the client. The second is wet healing, where you wash and moisturise your tattoo morning and evening and wrap it with cling wrap for 3 days, then just apply moisturiser thereafter as needed. We sell advanced healing products and are always here to advise on your healing process.
Drink water! Hydrate and keep your skin moisturised, avoid UV exposure and wear sunblock! We could not emphasise this more, hydration is the most important thing you can control going in to your appointment. Don't drink alcohol for a few days before the session, eat well and get good rest. On the day, come with a full stomach, bring some snacks and drinks. Lastly, if you are going to be here for the whole day, bring some headphones, watch a movie, or bring a book!
